Love waits

I want to hold you, hug you, kiss you, love you
but for now all I can do is wish and wait
for time to be on our side
but I believe that true love can wait
how long it takes, how far it goes
how deep it can grow despite the absence
for the heart is never impatient
it can only continue beating, hoping and loving
for once it find it's way home
it will stay with you forever
wherever you go, whatever you do
love will keep the sparks burning
like an embers that warms the soul

If

If I shed a tear
will you wipe it dry
If I doubt myself
will you comfort me
If I feel cold
will your arms warmth me
If I feel lost
will you guide me home
If I seem confuse
will you make things fine
If I say I need you
will you need me too
If I say I love you
will you love me too
But I guess I don't need to
ask you so many if's
By just being there
answer all my if's

Ever After

I know you’re not my ever after
I feel it here in my heart
and know it deep down inside
But what I feel for you is true
it surpass time and distance

My love for you is
so strong awaiting to be let go
I can’t hold it any longer
seems everyday that pass
Im growing deeper and deeper
into you and be with you

Life has no certainties
Love only belongs
today for me to feel
to savor and taste
to feel the magic
of my waking days
when thoughts fill
my mind of you
here with me to stay

I don’t wish for ever after with you
nor wish it to be forever
cause our life has no ending
our love no beginning
It is our now that matters
Not the yesterday or the tommorrow

I know you’re not my ever after
I feel it here in my heart
and know it deep down inside

Our love belongs to us now

cause there is no sweeter gift
than the gift of the moment

Don't let me DREAM
Just to let me wake up
to the cold reality

Don't let me HOPE
Just to let it fade
to a dying embers

Just to let me know how human
I could be

Sweet Memories

Sweet memories in my head
only belongs to you and no one else

over a month has passed
since I let go of a chance
to hold you close to me

what must have I been thinking
probably hiding inside myself

still the sweetness remains
of that December moment
when everything’s so right

a friendship blossoms
like a summer bloom

so fleetingly fragile
the hopes, dreams & possibilities
of a great new beginning

for two lonely people
drifting through life alone

searching for the wind of change
hoping to unite our souls forever
and make our dreams a reality

But I must have been sleeping
to let that moment past by so fast

And to let you go without a fight
I let you slip through my hands & didn’t hold on
too foolish of me not to grab that chance

to feel home in your arms
and see my reflection mirror in your eyes

now all that’s left are memories
one of the sweetest kind
that I’ll remember for all time

written: 10-07-08 - one sleepless night, cold air coming from my window, too many thoughts and memories thus the result of this poem. Actually this is one of those long poems I seldom make cause I usually like those short ones much easier to read. I hope you like it and do leave a comment.
